Changes to "Who Is An Insured" Who Is An Insured With the recent changes made to Commercial General Liability, certain persons and organizations are now automatically covered. Additional Insured Endorsements Additional Insured - Owners, Lessees Or Contractors - Completed Operations CG 20 37 10 01 provides completed operations protection for the Additional Insured. This is in direct response to the necessity in construction contracts to provide this type of Additional Insured language. Section II - Who Is An Insured is amended to include as an insured the person or organization shown in the Schedule, but only with respect to liability arising out of "your work" at the location designated and described in the schedule of this endorsement performed for that insured and included in the "products-completed operations hazard". The new Additional Insured Endorsements are an easy way to provide additional insured status without specifically naming such persons or organizations. These endorsements reduce the possibility of certain gaps of coverage and at the same time reduce extra work for agencies and companies where there is a requirement to specifically name persons or organizations. Related changes include: Employee Benefits Liability Coverage - CG 04 35 10 01 Employee Benefits Liability Coverage is provided on a claims-made form and provides coverage for liability arising out of acts, errors, or omissions negligently committed in the administration of an employee benefit program which result in loss of any or all of an employee's benefits. Limited Products Withdrawal Expense Coverage - CG 04 36 10 01 Limited Products Withdrawal Expense Coverage provides coverage for certain costs incurred to recall or withdraw the named insured's product or products containing the named insured's products from the market or from use by any person or organization due to a known or suspected "defect" or a known or suspected "product tampering" which has caused or is reasonably expected to cause "bodily injury" or physical injury to tangible property. |
